The project was implemented in accordance with the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations (2025 edition) and the relevant supplementary requirements.

The stadium was prepared to host competitions as part of the 3rd CIS Games, hosted by Azerbaijan. The competitions were held at Khankendi City Stadium, with 40 athletes from 7 countries participating in the tournament.
