How We Created the Concept of a Hotel and Recreation Center in Lachin

While developing the concept of this unique complex, nestled in the scenic nature of the city of Lachin, we aimed to combine natural beauty with modern architecture. Our goal was to create a world-class recreation and hospitality destination for both local residents and guests visiting the region.

1. Site Selection and Analysis of Natural Potential

The area designated for the project is located in one of the most beautiful spots in the city of Lachin. The surrounding mountain landscapes, dense forests, and clean mountain air make this location ideal for a hotel and recreation complex. During our analysis, we identified the following advantages:

  • Natural Beauty: Panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and greenery.

  • Ecological Purity: Clean mountain air, away from urban noise.

  • Accessibility: Proximity to the center of Lachin while offering the opportunity to be immersed in nature.

2. Construction Principle Preserving the Terrain

The natural terrain structure of the area became our primary source of inspiration. Instead of flattening the land, we decided to preserve the existing landscape and build upon it:

  • Natural Terraces: Hotel rooms and villas located along the slopes, each at a different elevation, will have their own unique view.

  • Panoramic Beauty: The opportunity to enjoy the exquisite mountain views of Lachin from every room and rest area.

  • Natural Materials: In the project, we will use local natural materials such as stone and wood to ensure the complex harmonizes with its environment.

3. Influence of Climatic Conditions on Design

Lachin's mild mountain climate and prevailing wind directions played a significant role in the design:

  • Solar Orientation: South and southwest directions are preferred for room and open terrace placement to maximize sunlight utilization.

  • Wind Protection: Rest areas and pools are located in sunny areas sheltered from winds.

  • Seasonal Use: Spaces are planned to be usable in both summer and winter seasons.

4. Architectural and Functional Solutions

In the architecture of the complex, we combined a modern style with national elements:

  • Hotel Building: 50–60 modern hotel rooms, suites, and a presidential suite.

  • Private Villas: Mountain houses with private courtyards for family getaways.

  • Wellness and SPA Center: Hammam, sauna, massage rooms, and a therapeutic center.

  • Outdoor and Indoor Pools: Usable throughout all seasons.

  • Restaurant and Cafe: Venues offering the finest dishes of local and national cuisine.

  • Conference Hall: A hall equipped with modern facilities for business meetings and events.

  • Sports and Entertainment Zones: Tennis court, walking paths, children's playground.

5. Environmental Adaptation and Sustainable Development

Preserving nature is a priority for us:

  • Preservation of Greenery: Maximum preservation of existing trees and creation of additional green areas.

  • Eco-friendly Technologies: Solar panels, rainwater harvesting and reuse, energy-efficient lighting systems.

  • Waste Management: A system for waste sorting and recycling.

  • Local Materials: By using local stone and wood in construction, we protect the environment and support the regional economy.

6. Contribution to Regional Development

This project is not just a hotel complex; it will greatly contribute to the development of the tourism potential of the Lachin region:

  • New Jobs: Employment for over 100 local residents.

  • Tourist Flow: Attracting local and international tourists to the region.

  • Support for Local Business: Promoting local products and services.

Conclusion

The concept of the Hotel and Recreation Center in the city of Lachin has been created as a vision that combines the beauty bestowed upon us by nature with modern architecture and high service standards. Lachin's abundant natural resources and mild climate make it possible to create a world-class tourism destination here. The complex will provide quality recreation opportunities for local residents and will also be an important step in unlocking the region's tourism potential.
